Dungeons & Dragons’ live-action series heads to Netflix

First teased in 2021 and previously in development at Paramount+, Dungeons & Dragons’ live-action series titled The Forgotten Realms, has found a new home at Netflix, with Drew Crevello serving as writer, executive producer and showrunner.

While plot details remain a mystery, fans may refer to the D&D campaign setting of the same name for possible hints. Previous series developers eOne and Paramount Pictures also collaborated on the 2023 film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Hasbro now produces, with Shawn Levy and Dan Levine executive producing for 21 Laps.

Dwayne Johnson’s ‘RoboForce’ Premieres April 12

Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and The Nacelle Company have produced RoboForce: The Animated Series, premiering April 12 on Tubi with six half-hour episodes.

Originally a 1984 toy line, RoboForce follows outdated robots uniting against Aegis 101, an AI threatening humanity. RoboForce features the voices of Chris Coculuzzi, Katherine Norris, Julee Song, Rory McCormick, Daniel Nwobi, Dave Beynon, creators Gavin Hignight and Brian Volk Weiss and more.

Seven Bucks and Nacelle previously collaborated on the Disney+ docuseries Behind the Attraction.

Backstreet Boys’ Las Vegas residency

The Backstreet Boys are back with the Into the Millennium Las Vegas residency at the Sphere and a new song. The boy band added additional dates to the residency after announcing the shows.

“Due to popular demand, we’ve added three more shows, August 1st, 2nd and 3rd, to the Into The Millennium @SphereVegas residency!” the group wrote on Instagram.

“Larger Than Life” is the first track on the group’s album Millennium, which dropped in 1999. The pop group consisting of Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough released DNA in 2019 and a Christmas album in 2022. Their latest track, “Hey,” came out recently, and Millennium 2.0 is set to drop in July. The new Into the Millennium shows take place over four weekends, beginning Friday, July 11 and concluding Sunday, August 3.
