SARGODHA: District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Ashraf suspended the Factory Area station house officer (SHO) from service for the illegal confinement of three people.

According to sources, the DPO paid a surprise visit to the police station on Tuesday night to inspect cleanliness, building conditions, property cases and the front desk.

He also reviewed police records and found three people unlawfully detained over a financial dispute.

The DPO suspended the SHO from service, saying that any violation of law and order would not be tolerated.

KILLED: A 30-year-old woman was killed after a speeding school bus hit a motorcycle in Satellite Town Block D.

According to sources, Iman Bibi was riding a motorcycle when the bus belonging to the Government Special Education School struck her near a petrol pump on General Bus Stand Road.

Her body was shifted to DHQ Teaching Hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

TRAPPED: Two women got trapped inside a bank ATM cabin when the door locked while they were withdrawing money near Noori Gate Hussain Chowk in the city.

Rescue teams contacted the bank manager, who unlocked an alternate door to free the trapped women.

HELD: Police have arrested two suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a young man at a chicken shop in the city.

According to sources, on March 16, two armed assailants opened fire at a chicken shop in Block 13, killing Mohsin Joyia of Fatima Jinnah Colony. The suspects, identified as Saddam Butt and Waqas, fled the scene but were later arrested by police.

Investigations revealed that the murder stemmed from an old enmity.
