The Israeli prime minister has held a meeting with a delegation that returned from Qatar, Al Jazeera reports.

At the end of the meeting, with ministers and security officials present, Netanyahu ordered preparations for negotiations under a proposal by Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, including the immediate release of 11 Israeli captives and the remains of half of the deceased captives.

Israeli state broadcaster KAN reported that Witkoff suggested extending the ceasefire for 60 days in exchange for the release of 10 captives.
