The Palestinian ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates welcomed a UN report stating that Israel committed “genocidal acts” against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Wafa reports.

The ministry welcomed the report of Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the occupied Palestinian Territory, which documented in detail the grave and systematic crimes and violations perpetrated by Israel, the occupying power, in the course of its genocidal aggression on the Gaza Strip, including sexual, reproductive and other forms of gender-based violence as a tool to repress, humiliate and undermine the dignity of the Palestinian people.

It stressed the conclusions of the report and the fact that Israel committed “genocidal acts” to be added to the list of unbearable violations and crimes that have been inflicted on the Palestinian people since the Nakba, while noting that the suffering inflicted on Palestinians was unacceptable and could not be tolerated and its perpetrators should be held accountable.
