Israeli tanks open fire near Rafah crossing: report

An Al Jazeera correspondent reports that Israeli tanks are firing “heavily” near the Rafah crossing in southern Gaza.

The target of the fire is not yet clear, Al Jazeera noted, adding there were no immediate reports of casualties.
