NAROWAL: Sialkot police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested two suspects for allegedly subjecting two children to sexual assault.

DPO Faisal Shahzad said two children were sexually assaulted in Saddar police precincts and suspects in both cases manged their escape.

He said Saddar Station House Officer Mian Razzaq traced both the suspects with the help of human intelligence source.

Reports said suspect ‘R’ sexually assaulted five-year-old ‘A’ of village Paiki Kotli. Seven-year-old ‘I’ was allegedly raped by suspect ‘Q’ at village Hindal.

DPO Faisal Shahzad said Saddar police arrested three suspects during crackdown on drug dealers.

He said the police recovered 502 smuggled bottles of liquor during the raid in Rangpura and arrested bootlegger Mubasher Pervez.

The arrested suspects were supplying alcohol in different areas of District Sialkot. He said the police arrested suspects Mohammad Saeed and Hamid alias Bila. More than 4kg of drugs have been recovered from them.

Noshin Imtiaz, a resident of Motra, Tehsil Daska, reported to the police that she was sitting in the drawing room of her house with her husband, Imtiaz Ahmed Butt, and other family members when the attack occurred.

She said Waqar Ahmed Butt and Sohail Ahmed Butt, along with their accomplices, entered the room and opened fire. Her husband sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.

On Noshin Imtiaz’s request, Motra police have registered a case against Waqar Ahmed Butt, Sohail Ahmed Butt, Hamid Waqar, Badar Waqar, Mohammad Ayub, Muzammal, and Abid under Sections 302, 109, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Noshin said her husband had been receiving serious threats regarding the property dispute.

“The suspect had previously attempted to kill my husband,” she claimed.

District Police Sialkot spokesperson Malik Waqas Ahmed confirmed that an FIR has been registered and that police teams have been directed to arrest the suspects.
