LAHORE: A three-day Food and Agriculture Manufacturing Exhibition, organised by the Trade Development Authority Pakistan (TDAP), commenced at Johar Town Expo Centre on Wednesday.

Punjab Agriculture Minister Ashiq Kirmani inaugurated the exhibition, which focuses on advancments in food processing, packaging, ingredients, and supply chain solutions to help drive growth in the agriculture sector.

At least 150 stalls have been set up by local and foreign companies from South Korea, China, and European Union members.

Mr Kirmani hoped that entry of international players in the local agriculture and food sectors would help promote agricultural production, marketing, and seed industry.

Counting various initiatives of the Punjab government in the agriculture sectors, he said the government was committed to develop food processing and agricultural machinery sectors.

Secretary TDAP Shehryar Taj, CEO Faiz Ahmed Chadhar, Federation of Chambers of Commerce Pakistan Vice-President Athar Sultan Chawla, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mian Abuzar Shah, and Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo were also present.
