ISLAMABAD: At least three people including a woman were killed while another was injured in separate road accidents in capital, police said on Wednesday.

In the first road accident, two motorcycle riders were killed after being hit by a vehicle on a road in H-9.

The deceased were identified as Yazeeb and Vishal. The police said they were travelling on a motorcycle when a speeding vehicle hit them.

As a result, both fell to the road and sustained critical injuries, while the wagon driver escaped from the spot leaving behind his vehicle.

Later, the injured were shifted to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. A case has been registered with the Industrial Area police station against the driver, they added.

In another road accident, a woman was killed and her husband was injured after being hit by a vehicle at Faizabad. The deceased woman was identified as Maqsood Bibi and her injured husband as Mohammad Yaqoob.
