KASUR: The Allahabad police arrested on Monday a man that along with his accomplices threw acid on his rival, disfiguring his face and damaging his eyes, at Ghala Mandi Mor locality.

The survivor wanted to marry the sister of the suspect that was rejected.

According to police, suspects Abdul Qayoum, Sajid, Sumaira Bibi, Ghulam Hussain and an unidentified man entered the house of Hussnain, 19, used abusive and threatening language and fled after throwing acid on him.

Husnain suffered acid burns and was rushed to Chunian THQ Hospital.

The complainant in the first information report said that the eyes of the survivor were damaged whereas his face was burnt with acid.

Police lodged a case against five suspects under various sections of PPC, including 336, 336 B, 324, 506 B, 452, 148 and 149 and arrested main alleged attacker Qayoum.
