ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met British Parliamentary Under­sec­retary of State for Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Hamish Fal­coner, in Lisbon, Portugal, to discuss matters of mutual interest, including trade and investment.

According to a press release issued by the finance ministry on Sunday, Mr Aurangzeb said that Pakistan and the United Kingdom have enjoyed cordial relations marked by mutual trust. He expressed the desire to work towards more robust relations between the two countries. Other matters of interest, including investment opportunities in Pak­istan for energy, minerals and infrastructure sectors, were also discussed.
