LAHORE: The North Cantonment police lodged a case against a housemaid for allegedly torturing an infant to take revenge from the employer.

The police acted against Saima when she was caught on a security camera torturing the three-month-old baby.

A police official said the parents of the baby alleged that on an occasion, the maid also tried to strangle him. He said they produced as evidence the recording of the camera wherein the suspected lady was caught beating the baby many times.

The police registered an FIR adding the theft charges too when complainant Matloob alleged the maid also took away cash and jewellery from his house.

The police have started investigations.
