PESHAWAR: Ten terrorists were killed in as many as five different encounters between security forces and militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, the military’s media wing said.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first encounter took place during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) against terrorists in Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district, killing four of them.

Security forces killed six terrorists in four different encounters, which took place in the Datta Khel, Hassan Khel, Ghulam Khan and Mir Ali areas of North Waziristan district.

Security forces seized weapons and ammunition from the terrorists killed in the clashes. They were actively involved in numerous activities against members of security forces and killing innocent civilians, the ISPR said.
