LAHORE: Discarded Test opener Imam-ul-Haq was recalled as captain of Pakistan Shaheens’ 14-member squad which was announced on Friday to face the touring West Indies Test side in a three-day warm-up in Islamabad starting from Jan 10.

The two-match Test series between Pakistan and West Indies begins on Jan 17 in Multan. Both the ICC World Test Championship fixtures will be played at the same venue.

“Imam-ul-Haq is set to lead the [Pakistan] Shaheens side while Musa Khan, who bagged 38 wickets in five Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches this season, has also been called up,” the PCB said in a press release issued on Friday.

The West Indies Test squad will arrive in Islamabad on Monday while Shaheens team will assemble the same day. The warm-up will be held from Jan 10 to 12 at the Islamabad Club ground.

Shaheens begin their training at the Islamabad Club on Jan 7 while the West Indies will undergo two training sessions on Jan 8 and 9 at the same venue.
