MUZAFFARABAD: Four members of a family lost their lives, and three others were injured when their vehicle plunged into a ditch in the Sudhnoti district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Police said the Suzuki van, carrying four adults and three children from the same family, was en route to Rawalpindi when it met with the accident near Sawa village in the Azad Pattan area.

The deceased were identified as Sajjad Anwar, 45; his wife, Malika Sajjad; Ejaz Anwar, 47; and their sister, Surayya Anwar, 35, who was married and resided in Trarkhal, Sudhnoti district.

The injured included Sajjad Anwar’s son, Abdul Ahad, 13, and Surayya Anwar’s children, Dua Nazima, 5, and Abu Bakar, 3.
