KARACHI, April 16: Shah Faisal Town Nazim Muhammad Imran has directed the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board officials to take appropriate measures for ensuring proper tap water supply to the town residents.

He issued the directive while visiting different areas of the town to review the ongoing road carpeting activities by the town administration, said a statement issued here on Sunday.

Muhammad Imran directed KWSB officials to ensure completion of ongoing water lines’ installation and water-supply valve replacement in different areas of the town within the stipulated time. He also directed the officials concerned to get the pipelines repaired to stop water leakages.

He said that effective efforts were being made to provide improved civic facilities to the masses and town officials were working round-the-clock to achieve the desired goal of town development.

Muhammad Imran directed the officials concerned to improve their efficiency and employ all possible resources for resolution of problems being faced by the masses.

lines area: Lines Area and surrounding localities have been facing an acute shortage of water for the last month, but the officials concerned are yet to take any remedial step.

Residents of Lines Area, Jacob Lines and Jut Lines are facing with serious problems due to acute shortage of potable water. They said that unavailability of water during this hot weather was a serious humanitarian issue, which needed urgent attention of the authorities.—APP/PPI
