KARACHI, April 16: Four persons died in two road accidents in different parts of the city. Two brothers died in a road accident in Korangi on Sunday morning.

Police said that Khalid, 23, and Asif, 16, were returning from a wedding reception from Korangi to their house in North Nazimabad, when they were hit by a speeding vehicle near Qayumabad.

They were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

On Sharea Faisal, a woman and her daughter were killed in an accident near Natha Khan Bridge late on Saturday night.

Police said that a man along with his wife and daughter was in taxi when a coach rammed into it. Shaikh Abbas, 50, who lost his wife, Shamim Abbas, 40, and daughter, Rawan Khan, 9, was struggling for his life at Liaquat National Hospital. Shamim and Rawan, who died on the spot, were shifted to JPMC.

According to the police, the taxi was cut up by the fire brigade officials in order to recover the victims from the cab.

The attendant of Mr Abbas told Dawn that he was in critical condition admitted to the hospital with head injuries. He complained that no senior doctor had attended the victim since Saturday night.
