LAHORE, April 14: Four wickets by paceman Kashif Daud and a fine opening stand of 104 by Hafiz Majid and Atiqur Rehman helped Sialkot strike back in the Pentangular Cup against Karachi Harbour on the penultimate day at Qadhafi Stadium on Friday.

Kashif, who grabbed five wickets for 80 in the first innings, returned a figure of 4-110 in the second as Harbour were all out in the second innings for 269 after adding 100 runs to the overnight total 159-4.

But Harbour managed to set a daunting winning target of 369 for Sialkot due to the first innings lead of 99.

Majid and Atiq gave a solid start to Sialkot in the second innings and put them on the road to victory with their opening stand which lasted 116 minutes.

Majid was at the crease with a sedate 160-ball 64, cracking nine boundaries.

Atiq scored 87-ball 51, laced with eight fours. He was caught by Atif Maqbool of Rajesh Ramesh.

Harbour's worries were compounded due to an injury to paceman Atif Maqbool, who got his hand injured in a caught and bowled attempt of Balal Hussain.

He had to leave the ground as Afsar Nawaz completed his 11th over.
