TOBA TEK SINGH: A groom allegedly died by suicide hours before his wedding on Friday night in Chak 58-GB, Jaranwala, Faisalabad.

Reports suggest that Ali, 26, hanged himself in his room for reasons yet to be ascertained while preparing to depart with his wedding procession.

FIRE: A fire broke out in a cylinder shop on Bypass Road, Shorkot, on Saturday due to a gas leak.

Bilal, 17, suffered severe burns and was taken to the Shorkot THQ Hospital before being referred to the Allied Hospital’s burn unit.

FALSE CASE: The case of Maryam Fatima, a Government College University of Faisalabad student, reportedly abducted along with her minor child, took a new turn when it was revealed that she was in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah with her maternal family.

She did not inform her husband, Tanweer, due to a marital dispute. Worried by his wife’s absence, Tanweer approached police fearing her kidnapping.

Sources say the abduction case, filed by Gulberg police, will be discharged upon her return to Pakistan and after recording her statement.

RAPE ATTEMPT: Faisalabad police arrested a man on Saturday for allegedly attempting to rape two children on Sargodha Road.

The complainant told police that suspect overpowered both children when they were on way in the street.

MURDER: Two persons, Ali Khawani and Faizan Bhatti, killed their friend, Shakil Warraich, over a minor argument.

The body was found in fields at Mauza Churahtta in the Nawan Shehr area of Khanewal on Saturday.

Police arrested the culprits in Multan.
