GUJRAT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Central Punjab President MNA Muhammad Ahmed Chatha has been booked along with 52 other persons by Wazirabad police on various charges, including blocking the road.

The case was lodged with Ahmed Nagar Police Station of Wazirabad district under at least 13 sections of PPC on the report of SHO Bilal Ahmed.

MNA Ahmed Chatha has been the scion of veteran politician Hamid Nasir Chatha.

According to the FIR, dated Dec 1, Mr Chatha along with 32 nominated and 20 unidentified suspects had blocked the main road in Warpaal Chatha on Nov 24 when he and his armed supporters chanted slogans against the government.

The report added that the suspects had also attacked the police and hurled threats at them.

However, no arrest has been made.
