KARACHI, April 12: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has expressed grief over the Nishtar Park tragedy and appealed to people to demonstrate restraint and tolerance.

He prayed to Allah for granting peace to the departed souls, fortitude to the bereaved families and early recovery of the injured.

The governor announced a compensation of Rs300,000 each for the heirs of dead and financially assisting the injured. He issued directives for provision of best possible medical aid and other facilities to victims of the bomb blast.

The Sindh governor said that the heinous act deserved condemnation in the strongest possible terms. However, he said nefarious designs of anti-Pakistan elements would be foiled by exercising utmost restraint and patience so that real culprits could be brought to justice.

He assured that the government would make every effort to identify and punish elements involved in the tragedy.—APP
