HYDERABAD, April 12: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal MNA from Hyderabad Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair has demanded dismissal of the Sindh government for its failure to maintain law and order.

He said conspiracies were being hatched to weaken the religious alliance and foment sectarian riots in the country. He alleged that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was involved in the Nishtar Park blast.

Sahibzada Abul Khair, who is senior vice-president of the Jamat-i-Ulema-i-Pakistan (JUP), demanded appointment of a judicial commission for probe into the Karachi blast.

Speaking at a press conference at Madressah Ruknul Islam Hirabad on Wednesday, the MNA denounced the Nishtar Park tragedy and said that since the installation of the Sindh government, religious leaders, particularly Ahl-i-Sunnat leaders, were being gunned down in the province.

MMA’s provincial lawmaker Abdul Rehman Rajput, JUP leaders Ibrahim Sheikh, Shakir Raza, Haji Moinuddin Sheikh and others were also present on the occasion.

The MNA said that after recent killings of Sunni Tahreek (ST) workers, he had taken up the matter with the prime minister in the National Assembly. The premier had constituted a committee, but failed to curb terrorism.

“A coalition partner of the Sindh government, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), has resorted to terrorism. So far 300 policemen, who took part in the Karachi operation, have been gunned down in Karachi,” he said and questioned the writ of the Sindh government regarding the maintenance of law and order in the province.

He said the blast was an attempt to foment Barelvi-Deobandi riots.
