ISLAMABAD: A woman robbed a house in the Khanna area of the federal capital, police said on Monday.

The incident took place in the house of Tariq Mehmood, located at a distance of 2km from the area police station when he and his family, except his daughter, had gone to H-8 sector.

The lone woman entered the house and held Tariq’s daughter at gunpoint, police said, adding that she then looted gold ornaments, including a set weighing 2.5 tolas, a chain weighing a tola, six rings each weighing a tola, two earrings and Rs170,000 cash.

Later, the girl went to her neighbour’s house and called her father and informed him about the robbery.

Quoting the girl, the police said the armed woman was wearing a black gown and talking in Urdu.

Khanna police have registered a robbery case against the unidentified woman.
