DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A man was allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons in Kot-Dolat area of Kulachi tehsil here on Monday.

Police said that Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah, a resident of Mohallah Ranazai, had gone to his agricultural lands near Ziarat Hassan Shah Bukhari but did not return. Later, his bullet-riddled body was found in the fields.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist identified as Haqdar Ali was killed when a tractor hit his motorcycle on Multan road near Lunda Sharif area.

Also, 11-year-old Mohammad Usman was killed when a truck hit him near a soap factory on Qureshi Morr.

CAMP: Livestock department held a veterinary camp in Mosa Khar village to provide free health services to domestic animals. The residents of the village lauded the district administration for organising the cap.

OBITUARY: Former deputy director of press information department Qazi Fazal Ahmed passed away due to cardiac arrest here the other day.

His funeral prayers were offered in the ground of Government Technical Training Center. Quran Khwani was held on Monday at Jamia Masjid Fahmida, Gilani Town, for the departed soul that was attended by people from different walks of life.

Journalists and local elders offered condolences to Qazi Muzaffar, the brother of deceased, and his other family members.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Qazi Fazal Ahmed. In his condolence message, he paid tributes to the journalistic services of the deceased and his hard work and integrity.

He said that Qazi Fazal Ahmed was a sincere, hardworking and principled person, who always fulfilled his professional responsibilities with dedication. He said that the services of Qazi Fazal Ahmed would always be remembered.
