OKARA: A seven-year-old girl from Sahiwal died after falling from a children’s train ride in an amusement park on the outskirts of Okara.

According to the FIR, a primary school trip from village 177/9 L brought young students to the park, where they enjoyed rides.

During the train ride, the driver allegedly applied a sudden brake, causing a severe jolt that led Isma, who was seated on the end seat, to fall off the train. She sustained injuries and later succumbed to them.

The ride lacked basic safety features, including gates and seatbelts, which contributed to the fatal accident.

On a complaint from Isma’s uncle, Shamsul Haq, Saddar police have registered a case against the park contractor and staff, including Umer, Naeem, Shahzad and Ahmad Ali.
