Colorado, once a political battleground, has steadily leaned Democratic over the past two decades. The state last swung Republican in 2004, when it backed George W. Bush, but has since consistently favoured Democratic contenders, with Joe Biden decisively winning in 2020.
Colorado gained an additional electoral vote after the 2020 census, reflecting Denver’s population boom.
