South Carolina Representatice James Clyburn tells CNN that he spoke with President Biden yesterday to reminisce about their years working together and discuss the possibility of Harris succeeding him in the Oval Office.

“I talked to him a little bit about the bookends of his career,” Clyburn said according to AP.

“To be eight years as vice president for the first African-American president to be elected, and to have the temerity and the guts to name a woman of colour to succeed him is a tremendous bookend to his career.”

Clyburn says Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, will have a “tremendous” legacy.
