KARACHI, April 8: Youngsters Nasir Mushtaq and Ghulam Abbas will represent Sindh in the national junior team trials for next month's Junior Davis Cup Asia Oceania qualifying tournament to be played in Malaysia. According to Sindh Tennis Association (STA) on Saturday, national U-16 champion Nasir and Ghulam Abbas, another top ranked player in the category will appear in the three-day trials to be held at Pakistan Sports Board tennis court in Islamabad from April 13.

As many as 22 Asian countries are expected to take part in Junior Davis Cup that will take place from May 1 to 8 at the Malaysian city of Kuching.

The tournament format will be two singles and one doubles to be played on either a round robin or knockout (basis).

Pakistan stood in 12th position in the last year's junior Davis Cup event when Tanveer Ashiq and Umer Babar represented the country.—PPI
