TAXILA: Two persons lost their lives while six others were injured in three different incidents in Attock on Thursday, police and hospital sources said.

In the first incident, a service station employee was hit by a speeding motorcycle on Rawalpindi road in the limits of Fatehjang police station.

Police sources said that Rehmat Khan, a native of Dir district was crossing the road when a speeding motorcyclist hit him, killing him on the spot.

Separately, a motorcyclist was killed in a head on collision with a passenger van in Gharibwal area in the limits of Pindigheb police station.

Police sources said Mohammad Rafeeq received critical injuries when his motorcycle collided with a passenger van.

He was taken to tehsil headquarters hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Moreover, four persons, including three minor girls, were injured when a car rammed into a truck on Hakla-D.I. Khan motorway near Pindigheb as the car driver fell asleep.

The injured who were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. Respective police registered cases and launched further investigation.

Six suspects arrested

As many as six outlaws wanted in heinous crimes including murder, attempted murder and robbery incidents were netted in Attock district on Thursday.

In the first incident, a man was killed in Bhattar police station area on Aug 13 over a family feud.

Police spokesman said that Zeeshan Faisal contracted marriage with the daughter of Nadeem Khan some three years ago. But the couple developed differences a few months ago and she returned to her parents house.

Nadeem Khan along with his son Ismail Khaan forcefully entered Zeeshan house and shot him dead and fled. Police registered a case against the nominated accused under section 302,321 and 449 Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and on Thursday arrested them.

Meanwhile three brothers were arrested for attempting to murder a man and his nephew over a kite flying issue in Hazro.

Separately, Bassal Police arrested Noman who was wanted in robbery cases. Police spokesman said that Noman was wanted in various robbery cases and was declared proclaimed offender (PO) by local court of law. On Thursday Police raided his hideout and arrested him.
