DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The local police on Wednesday claimed to have recovered a six-year-old boy from kidnappers within 24-hours of the abduction and arrested two culprits.

According to a police spokesman, the minor was kidnapped for ransom from Syed-Aliaan area of Paharpur tehsil. He said that following the directions of senior police officials, a police party recovered the boy from the fields in .Syed-Aliaan area. The police also arrested two kidnappers of the six-member gang while the four others escaped from the scene.

The police were interrogating the arrested accused while raids were being conducted to arrest the other accomplices named Nasarullah, Gulzaman alias Lattu, Farmanullah and Zeir Khan, the spokesman added. Later, the district authorities handed over the recovered boytohis heirs.

MOTORCYCLIST KILLED: A 21-year old man was killed when his motorcycle was hit by another bike on which two boys were performing stunts near Kotjai Adda.

According to police, 21-year-old Ghulam Murtaza Kanera of Syed Aliaan area was going home on a motorcycle when Ikramullah and Hayatullah, who were doing one wheeling on their bike, hit him in the limits of Paharpur police station. As a result, Ghulam Murtaza died on the spot.

The Paharpur police registered a case on the report of the deceased’sbrother.
