The Associated Press news agency is reporting that dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters charged a line of police in an “intense standoff” with hundreds of police officers in the US city of Chicago on the second night of the Democratic National Convention, Al Jazeera reports.
The confrontations took place in front of a Chicago skyscraper that houses the Israeli consulate, the agency reported, adding that more than a dozen protesters were arrested.
There was no immediate comment from the Chicago Police Department.
