Troops continue to deepen the operations in the southern city of Khan Younis and on the outskirts of Deir al-Balah in central region, the army says, Al Jazeera reports.

Fighter jets attacked targets in Khan Younis from which rocket were launched and crossed towards the Nirim community in southern Israel yesterday.

Air attacks destroyed loaded launchers ready for attacks in the area, it said, adding that soldiers killed fighters and located weapons, including grenades, Kalashnikov-type weapons and explosives.

Troops also kept operating in the Rafah area above and below ground, the statement said.

They killed a number of fighters, attacked infrastructures and found weapons, including a machinegun, Kalashnikov-type weapons, grenades and other military equipment, it added.
