KARACHI, March 28: A transporter was shot dead by unknown persons on Shahrahi-Pakistan on Tuesday evening. Police said that the general secretary of Karachi Transport Ittehad Malick Khalid Husain was going in his Parado car when unknown persons opened fire on him in front of Khan Broast.

Khalid suffered five bullet wounds and died on the spot. Police said that a 9mm pistol was used in the shooting which seems to be a target killing.

Police said that the incident occurred on the service lane.

The body sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem examination.
