RAHIM YAR KHAN: A journalist working with a local news channel was tortured in Sadiqabad on Friday.

According to the first information report registered with Sadiqabad City Police Station, Kashif Ghafoor Arain, a resident of Chak 10-NP, Habib Colony, came out from a hair salon when Waseem Gopang with about five unidentified persons arrived there and started abusing him over an unknown matter. When Arain stopped them, they beat him with sticks and clubs.

They allegedly took away his mobile phone, Rs32,700 and his press card.

Police registered a case against the suspects.
