ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Mohammad Ali Randhawa on Saturday visited F-9 Park to review preparations for the Independence Day celebrations.

He was informed that Islamabad’s first-ever drone show would also be a part of the AzadiFest celebrations.

According to a statement, the Member Environment, Member Engineering, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, DIG Islamabad and other relevant officials were also present on this occasion. The CDA chairman reviewed the arrangements for AzadiFest.

While briefing the chairman, it was highlighted that various programmes have been arranged in F-9 Park under AzadiFest.

Mr Randhawa also inspected the arrangements for musical concert and fireworks.

He said various events have been arranged to celebrate AzadiFest in a grand manner. He directed that a campaign especially outdoor should be carried out across Islamabad under AzadiFest.

The CDA chairman mentioned that various programmes have been made part of AzadiFest to make it all inclusive.

He said Islamabad’s first-ever drone show would also be a part of the AzadiFest celebrations.

Additionally, he announced that a specific area in F-9 Park would be allocated for tree plantation so that families, youth and children attending the events can plant trees.

He emphasised the need for a better traffic plan during the Independence Day celebrations ensuring the best parking arrangements for citizens participating in the events.

Similarly, separate entry gates and areas should be designated in F-9 Park for families, children, and youth during the celebrations so that there could be less traffic congestion.

Muhammad Ali Randhawa instructed the Islamabad police to make foolproof security arrangements.

Special areas will be allocated for the media to cover all events and fireworks during AzadiFest.

On the instructions of the CDA chairman, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad will oversee all arrangements for Azadifest related activities at F-9 Park.
