LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Tuesday granted a three-day physical remand of a woman, Amina Arooj, in the honey-trap case involving playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar, and sent 11 other suspects to jail for their identification parade.

The CIA police presented all the suspects before the court of Judicial Magistrate Nabeela Amir.

The investigating officer sought a seven-day physical remand of Arooj, one of the prime suspects, to complete the case investigation.

He also sought permission to shift other suspects to jail for their identification parade.

However, the magistrate granted a three-day physical remand of the woman and allowed the police to shift the remaining suspects to jail for their identification parade.

The magistrate directed the police to present the suspect woman again on Friday, along with the investigation report.

The playwright alleged that the suspects kidnapped him when he reached Bahria Town to visit Amina Arooj late night where he was subjected to physical torture, deprived of cash and later abandoned on a road.
