CHITRAL: A young woman and a teenage boy reportedly died by suicide in different villages of Chitral during the last two days.

As per police sources, a married woman in her early 30s was found dead in her room. They said that she allegedly hanged herself with the beam of a room by her dupatta on Sunday evening in the Miragram No 1 village of Upper Chitral district.

The woman had three daughters and two sons, while the reason of her suicide could not be known immediately.

A day earlier, a teenage boy, identified as Islamuddin, had shot himself dead inside his home in Ochusht village of Lower Chitral district.

The police have started inquiry into both the cases to ascertain the real cause of their deaths under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
