A US official has said the country’s Middle East envoy Brett McGurk is traveling to the Middle East for consultations on the Gaza conflict, with stops planned in the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, Reuters reports.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, had no further details on his planned discussions at this time.
