TAXILA: A man allegedly axed his brother to death over a land dispute in Kot Fateh Khan in Fatehjang town of Attock on Thursday, police sources said.

According to the sources, Fateh Khan had a land dispute with Nawab Khan. On Thursday when he along with his son Asif Ali Raza went to his fields, Nawab Khan along with his son Amir Shahzad and others came and after exchange of hot words attacked them with axes and sticks. Nawab attacked his brother Fateh with axe killing on the spot while his son was injured. Later his body was shifted to tehsil headquarters hospital Fatehjang for autopsy. Police registered a case and launched a haunt to arrest them.

Separately, Injra Police arrested a murder suspect and recovered sophisticated weapons utilized in the murder. Police sources said Saddam Hussain killed Tahir Khan, a native of D.I. Khan over an old enmity when he was coming out from a local mosque located in Dhoke Mohammad after offering prayers two months ago.

Police traced the suspect through human and digital intelligence and recovered Kalashnikov utilised in the murder from his possession.

Valuables worth millions looted

Six armed robbers looted a house of motorcycle dealer in Darul Salam colony in the limits of city Police station and fled with cash, gold ornaments, prize bonds and other valuables worth millions of rupees, police said on Thursday.

The victim Ihtisham Raheem reported to police that six armed robbers stormed into the house and took all the family members at gunpoint.

Later they locked all the family members in a room and searched the whole house and took away cash worth Rs 600,000 gold ornaments worth Rs3 million, prize bonds of different value amounting to Rs500,000 million and a motorcycle.

Separately, three armed robbers deprived a property dealer of cash worth Rs75,000 and three mobile phones in Jand. Muhammad Shoaib reported to police that he was going to his property office on his motorcycle after drawing cash from the local branch of a private bank when three masked men riding on a motorcycle intercepted him on station road and at gunpoint snatched cash and mobile phones.

Separately, burglars broke into a girls school located in village Dhoke Kaborian in the limits of Fatehjang police station and took away solar system, sound system and office furniture amounting to Rs1 million.

Meanwhile, burglars broke into the house of Naseer Ahmed in Islampura area in the limits of Hassanabdal Police station and took away Rs300,000 and gold ornaments worth Rs800,000.
