KARACHI: A young man was arrested, along with his wife and two frie­nds, over charges of killing his father in Surjani Town.

The suspect killed his father as he had divorced his (suspect’s) mother besi­des he was also interested in acquiring the property and other valuables of the father.

The police with help of technology and witnesses arrested the four suspects, including the victim’s son Bilal, his wife Mahnoor and the couple’s friends namely Ahmed Amir and Inam Waleed. The police have recovered the hammer used in the murder and victim’s cell phone from his daughter-in-law.

SSP-West Hafeezur Rehman Bugti said the suspect killed his fath­er as he was not happy beca­use the victim had divorced his mother. Bilal also wanted to usurp the flat and other cash and valuables of the father.
