BAHAWALPUR: Police have arrested a man who allegedly raped his minor niece in B Colony area of Lodhran city.

According to Lodhran city police SHO Zafar Garwan, father of the 10-year-old girl in his complaint alleged that on June 12, his daughter was alone in the house.

He said the suspect, her maternal uncle, along with an unidentified man entered the house and allegedly raped the minor. The SHO claimed that the suspect has been arrested, while the medico-legal examination report of the girl was awaited for further action. He added that that the DNA test would also be conducted to ascertain the crime.

ARRESTED: The Jahania police in Khanewal district claimed to have arrested three alleged drug traffickers, recovering total nine kilogram charas from their possession.

According to SHO Mahar Riaz Sial in a series of raids in three villages – 10-R,104-R and 105-R, three drug paddlers identified as Aziz, Skindar and Munir were arrested.

He said and a total of over nine kilogram charas was recovered from the three suspects and cases were registered against them.
