BKHYBER: Unidentified gunmen killed a police official in Jamrud on Sunday.

The police said Abid Afridi, a local police official, along with two of his relatives was going in a car when the vehicle came under attack by some unidentified assailants.

They said Abid Afridi died of his wounds on the spot, while the other two inmates sustained injuries. They were taken to a hospital.

Sources said that the incident was possibly the result of a personal enmity, while the police started investigations to ascertain the actual reason behind the killing.
