LAHORE: The anti-terrorism court on Monday withdrew arrest warrants for PTI activist Tayyaba Raja after she appeared in the Jinnah House attack hearing.

The court had issued her bailable arrest warrants for skipping previous hearing of the case.

Ms Raja, who is on bail, appeared before the court along with her lawyer and undertook to attend all hearings in future.

Judge Arshad Javed withdrew her warrants and adjourned the hearing till May 15.

Fashion designer Khadija Shah and former MNA Rubina Jamil, who are on bail, also attended the hearing on the May 9 case.

Separately, the police produced jailed leaders of the PTI, including Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, former governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema, former provincial minister Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, former MNA Aalia Hamza and social media activist Sanam Javed.

Judge Javed directed the prosecution to distribute copies of the challan (investigation report) among the suspects at the next hearing.

The Sarwar Road police had registered the case against the leaders and workers of the PTI for attacking and vandalizing the corpse commander house of Lahore, also known as Jinnah House, during the violent protests of May 9, 2023 against the arrest of former premier Imran Khan in a graft case by the NAB.
