ISLAMABAD, March 13: A Pakistan International Airlines plane carrying a team of engineers and experts from Karachi for investigating into an accident in which an engine of a Boeing 747 was damaged after it was hit by a coach at the Islamabad airport earlier in the day was itself grounded when its hydraulic oil started leaking.

The pilot noticed the fault and stopped the plane.

A PIA spokesman said that the oil leak was noticed after the plane was taxiing on the runway after landing. The plane was moved to a bay by a tug-master.

He said that the accident caused a delay in two PIA flights, one from Quetta and the other from Lahore. A private airliner’s flight was also delayed.

Meanwhile, a PIA Airbus-310 is also reported to have been grounded when its wheels heated up during taxiing.
