NOT A FAIR DEAL AT ALL: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) recently conducted a test for the 300 vacant positions of head master and head mistress. There were thousands of aspirants who failed to get a fair deal. The SPSC first delayed the answer key, and later when it was published, it had plenty of errors. On complaints, the SPSC revised the answer key, but failed to do a professional job once again. For instance, the evening paper type A had two debatable questions (Nos. 38 and 40), but the SPSC answer keys remained silent on the matter. The SPSC should publish the correct answer key urgently.

KARACHI SUMMERS: In recent years, Karachi has been experiencing increasingly hot and humid summers. The people must undertake due initia- tives in this regard. The only solution to the problem is by way of taking a long-term view of the changing weather pattern. They should plant and care for trees in their neighbourhoods. Every household should cultivate indoor plants that not only enhance oxygen production, but also contribute to a healthier living environment. Moreover, it is imperative for the government to declare a green emergency in the city, discourage deforestation and promoting urban forests. These green spaces will elevate oxygen levels, reduce carbon emissions, enhance air quality, and positively impact the mental wellbeing of the people. And who does not need mental wellbeing?

TRAFFIC RULES: Motorcyclists are routinely seen creating nuisance on Islamabad-Rawalpindi Expressway. They do not follow any traffic rule at all regarding lane or speed, zigzagging their way at seriously high speeds. Most motorcyclists do not have any back-view mirrors, which makes their movements even riskier for everyone, including themselves. The traffic police force really needs to get into action to make the commute safe for one and all.
