Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has called for restraint following Iranian strikes on Israel, AFP reports.
In a post on X, he said: “We are following with the greatest concern the evolution of the situation in the Middle East. One must at all cost avoid a regional escalation.”
In 2015, the parliament had decided to “maintain neutrality in the Yemen conflict so as to be able to play a proactive diplomatic role to end the crisis”.
