Creating crafts is an amazing pastime and hobby, plus, you get an ample supply of beautiful DIY products at your home that you can use for yourself or present to your loved ones.

Although the world of crafts has no limits, some things are evergreen and can be made in several ways, for instance, lamps. Today we are making one from craft sticks, also called ice cream sticks.

Things you need:

  1. Craft sticks: at least 31, large or small (depending on your preference), I used large ones, seven for each side and three for the bottom.

  2. One battery-operated candle or fairy lights.

  3. Hot glue

  4. Scissors

  5. Bamboo sticks or BBQ skewers: four

Directions:

  1. Choose the width of your lamp, and cut the sticks accordingly; I cut at three inches. Do this with all the sticks, because each side of the lamp is similar to the other, see pictures 2 and 3.

  2. With the help of an elder, paste the cut sticks on each side of the bamboo sticks carefully, as shown in picture 4.

  3. Keep distance between each stick so that light can come through the slits, as shown in picture 5.

  4. When you have completed one side, repeat pasting the sticks on the same bamboo stick, but now from the other side, as in picture 6.

  5. Continue pasting the sticks on all four sides, see pictures 7, 8, and 9.

  6. When all sides are done and the lamp is almost complete, paste at least 3 sticks on the bottom so that you can put your fairy lights or a battery-operated candle inside, as in picture 10.

This beautiful lamp is now ready. You can keep it in your room or your drawing room. Trust me, kids, the atmosphere will turn enchanting when this lamp will glow.
