KARACHI, March 7: A one-day token hunger strike was observed by the Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Junejo) on Tuesday as part of its ongoing campaign against the influx of aliens into Sindh.

The Mahaz had earlier held similar hunger strikes in interior Sindh.

The hunger-strike camp set up in front of the Karachi Press Club was attended by a large number of JSM workers from various parts of the city and interior Sindh.

Talking to journalists and visitors at the camp, JSM Chairman Abdul Khalique Junejo said the people of Sindh had always struggled for peace and brotherhood in the world and maintained friendly relations with its neighbours.

But he regretted that today a conspiracy had been hatched to turn the Sindhi population into a minority in their own province by allowing the influx of aliens for settlement.

In this regard, the JSM termed the opening of the Khokarapar border as part of that conspiracy.
