KARACHI, March 7: The Defence Housing Authority is making concerted efforts to ensure provision of secure and peaceful living environment to its residents. According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the DHA has established a ‘helpline’ which will receive information about dacoties, robberies, car and mobile phone snatchings. The residents of Defence have been advised to call at 021-5390000 in case of any emergency.

The DHA helpline will work round-the-clock to ensure peace and security in Defence. The DHA vigilance having a fleet of mobile patrols has recently been provided with modern communication and mobility. The efficient and experienced DHA vigilance staff is well-trained to effectively respond to any untoward emergency.

DHA Administrator Brig Maqsood Hussain inaugurated the installation of helpline at the Defence Housing Authority’s Main Office on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that a reinvigorated vigilance would augment and strengthen the efforts of police to curb the rising incidents of lawlessness in Defence. Brig Maqsood asked the residents to lend their wholehearted cooperation and support to make the initiative of installing DHA helpline a success. He reiterated that the DHA would spare no effort to provide peaceful living conditions to the residents. —APP
