A day after taking oath as the Sindh chief minister, Murad Ali Shah has said that protecting the lives and properties of people would be the top most priority of his government, Radio Pakistan reports.

Chairing a meeting on law and order after taking charge of the office in Karachi today, Murad expressed determination to eliminate bandits from the riverine areas of Sukkur and Larkana districts.

He said a joint operation against dacoits will be launched in cooperation with the Punjab and Balochistan governments, the report added.

CM Murad made it clear that he is not satisfied with the street crime situation in the province and directed officials concerned to take strict action and improve law and order. He also issued directives for making the province drug-free.
