TAXILA: As many as three women and a minor girl were abducted in three different incidents in Hassanabdal on Monday, police sources said.
In the first incident, Kamran Qazi reported to the police that his daughter and his 3-year-old granddaughter had allegedly been abducted by the manager of his hotel located in the New City area.
Separately, Ali Asghar reported to the police that his 23-year-old sister went to the market to purchase some food items but did not return and named a suspect in his FIR.
In another incident, Mohammad Waqas, a resident of Gardai, reported to the police that a rickshaw driver had allegedly abducted his wife, a mother of three, and shifted her to an unknown location.
Hassanabdal Police have registered separate cases and launched a search for them.
Meanwhile, a man was shot and injured over a dispute in village Chakki within the limits of Bassal police station on Monday.
Mohammad Haroon reported to the police that he was chopping trees on his land when his relative, Mohammad Ameen, along with five other people, came and fired at him with his pistol.
As a result, he received a bullet to his chest and fell down. Later, he was taken to the Tehsil headquarters hospital in Pindigheab,from where he was shifted to Rawalpindi due to his critical condition. Bassal Police registered a case against the accused and launched further investigation.
Moreover, A man named was deprived of cash and two mobile phones by armed criminals within the limits of the Taxila police station.
In another incident, three people riding motorcycles intercepted Haseeb Hussain in the Model Town area and snatched two mobile phones and cash from him.
Besides, two masked men equipped with different weapons intercepted Mohammad Raheem in the Riasatabad area, snatched cash and other valuables from him at gunpoint and fled.
Meanwhile, armed suspects snatched cash and her mobile phone from the wife of Tufail within the limits of the same police station.
Moreover, burglars broke into the house of Ameer Afzal in the limits of Wah Cantonment police station and escaped with looted items, including cash and valuables.
Respective police have registered separate cases and launched further investigations.
